About 50 miles Easterly of McGrath where the Kuskokwim River splits (south Fork east Fork) is where you will find Medfra.
This is an old, from times gone by, Settlement with some old mining trails throughout the area.
Lately it has been rediscovered for hunting. Some large trophy Moose came out of this area, as well as some big Bears.
