If you have ever floated Lake Creek or planning on doing so, it is one of the most productive Salmon and Rainbow fisheries in South Central Alaska.       Also, you may have found out that good camping spots are rare and hard to come by.

This “Spot” in the area what is known as “The Bluffs”, is undoubtedly the most sought after fishing place of your whole trip.  Here you have deep, quiet waters where the big Salmon share their “hold up” with huge Rainbow, on the way to their spawning grounds.  Here you will find:  Kings – Silvers – Reds – Dog Salmon – Grayling, etc.

You may be fishing with bears side by side or watching a moose crossing the river.  This lot, although hard to reach, is well worth it. 

You can get there by floating down Lake Creek from Chelatna Lake or land a float plane on Quiet Lake and have a raft or boat on the east side of the river to get across to your property.  Building materials could be brought in by snowmobile or by helicopter from Big Lake.

Lake Creek is a designated Wild and Scenic river and according to the State, there will be no more private property made available.  This is a non motorized area.

Seldom do we see any property available, and quite frankly there are only a handful of private properties with Lake Creek frontage along the whole river.  The rest is all State land.
