McKinley View Cabin

“Near the westerly bank of the upper reaches of the Kahiltna River”
ASLS 87-400, Tract B, apr. 15.89 acres
Apr. GPS coordinates:  Lat. 62°05’ 36” N and Long. 150° 53’ 31” W -  Datum:  NAD27
(For a Google Earth Fly Over)

The wilderness setting you have always dreamed of.  No neighbors you can see and totally surrounded by State land with a view so beautiful that it is hard to describe.  Mt. McKinley or Denali, whatever you want to call it in all its magnificence, just straight in front of you and only a few miles away.

Is a property like this hard to come by? You bet it is!  Is it difficult to get to? Depends on who you ask, but I would say, yes.  Is it worth the effort?  Without a doubt!

Here you have all the wildlife in an unspoiled setting.  You are just about on the bank of the mighty Kahiltna River, best known for the Kahiltna Glacier which is just a few miles to the north.

If you are not afraid to live among the bears; brown or black, moose, wolves, wolverine or Lynx, then this might be the place for you.

For fishing, you have Lake Creek a couple miles to the west, which offers every species of salmon and fantastic rainbow or grayling fishing.

If you wonder how the owner gets to such a secluded place, well it is not easy.  He built apr. a mile and a half long trail through state land to Quiet Lake.  This is where he leaves his 4 wheeler and it is from there that he had building materials flown in to the lake and then he hauled them over to his property.

In the wintertime he goes in from the parking lot at Petersville Road and goes about 35 miles, more or less cross country to his property.  This can be a nice and easy trip or quite challenging after a large snowfall.  Keep in mind this area gets 4’to 6’ of snow on the ground.

It may not be every man’s idea to have a recreation cabin in a place like this, but for a tough, outdoors person who doesn’t mind to be challenged now and then, it doesn’t come any better.  And let’s face it, all the hard work is done.  Just take a look at the improvements of what is there. No builder would touch a building project like that for less then $150K due to the challenges involved.

So look at what you get and for the “Right” person this is a true bargain and is as good as it can get.

The Price?  Only $69,000.-  Seller prefers cash
