Just past the Old Gunsight Mountain Lodge (apr. Mile Post 123) on the north side of the Glenn Highway about 2½ miles in, is where you will find this picturesque setting nestled along the Nelchina Trial.
This area is preferred by hunters (caribou, moose, grisly, sheep) and is a favorite for snowmobilers and ATV enthusiasts. There are literally hundreds of miles of trails leading way back into the old mining country to explore, summer or winter.
Many of the small lakes and creeks offer some great Arctic Grayling fishing. The view from this area is across rolling hills to the glacier capped mountains of the Chugach Range. This is a great cabin building site!
