The Deshka River, aka Kroto Creek, is one of south centrals Premier fishing streams.  It is here where you can catch the famous King and Silver Salmon, literally fresh out of the ocean, and the fish are feisty and chrome colored.

This is a very popular place, as it is only a 20 minute flight from Anchorage and less than half of that from Willow.  Besides, it is reachable by boat or snowmobile from Willow/Deshka Landing in about a 15 minute trip.  There is a small airstrip suitable for a Piper Super Cub or…

Having sold several places on the Deshka this one here has always been my favorite, as it is amidst the “Best” fishing action, very well kept, comfortable and offers excellent service.

This is a rather large facility with apr. 5,000 sq. ft. under roof, built in 1984.  The lodge certainly has all the conveniences of home; a beautiful entertainment room with a large natural stone fireplace, a great kitchen, large dining room and of course, the very nice 6 bedrooms all with their own bathrooms and in floor heating throughout the main building.

For the owner, the upstairs offers their private living place.

There are several outbuildings, from storage to shop, with one building housing the large diesel generators (16kw & 8kw).

The lodge easily handles groups of 12 guests and sometimes more.  The season starts around the 20th of May through the end of August.  For winter enthusiasts there is an active snowmobile business just ready for grabs, as you are in the center of all activities; from the grueling 2,000 mile snowmobile race (Iron Dog)to the Iditarod Sled Dog Race and many smaller less known events, all bringing business to the area.
